The year 2018 has been very good in terms of video game releases, the current year of 2019 promises to be even better with many new and exciting releases being announced and while there are numerous platforms that distribute these games, few of them are large and successful as Steam which is why today we will be taking a look at the top 10 games that will be coming to Steam in 2019.

1. Resident Evil 2

Resident Evil 2 is the latest installment of the very popular horror franchise which has captured the hearts of many horror enthusiasts over the years. Resident Evil 2 is a remake of the very popular RE installment and the game has adopted a lot of elements from previous installments which have been praised by both critics and gamers alike. The game was released on the 25th of January with very positive reviews so if zombies, blood and gore are what tickles your fancy, this might just be the game for you.

2. Tales of Vesperia

Tales of Vesperia is a Japanese roleplaying game which was published by BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment and was released on the 11th of January 2019. While the game is technically a remaster of the original Tales of Vesperia title, this release does feature additional content which is always a good thing. The additional content includes two new playable characters, new bosses, mini-games and many collectibles and costumes for various characters. The game is currently priced at 39,99 Euros and has received very positive reviews from gamers.

3.Onimusha: Warlords

For our third spot, we are looking at yet another remaster of the popular title Onimusha: Warlords. Developed and published by CAPCOM CO. LTD, Onimusha: Warlords is a samurai adventure game which is full of excitement, magic, monsters and sword fighting which is pretty much everything a gamer could ask from a game. The remake features the original story but the developers have gone out of their way to improve controls and handling of the game as well as add a new soundtrack which enhances the gameplay and truly makes the player feel like he is in feudal Japan. The price tag of Onimusha: Warlords is currently 19,99 Euros.

4. At the Gates

At the Gates is an indie strategy game from a very popular designer Jon Shafer who is famous for his work on Civilization 5. The game was developed and published by Conifer Games and it was released worldwide on the 23rd of January. The player assumes the role of a lord during the dark ages and is tasked with leading his people and creating a new kingdom which will replace the crumbling Roman Empire. The game features all familiar RTS elements such as resource gathering, exploring and creating a powerful economy and army. The game has received mixed reviews and is currently priced at 29,99 Euros.

5. Tropico 6

Tropico is yet another franchise which needs no introduction in within the gaming community. Developed by Limbic Entertainment and published by Kalypso Media, the latest installment of Tropico, Tropico 6 will once again allowing the player to assume a role of a governor of the island state of Tropico and leave its future in the player’s hands. The player chooses to be a statesman who is loved and worshipped by his people or a cruel dictator who strikes fear into the hearts of his subjects. The game will be released on the 29th of March 2019.

6. Metro Exodus

While this game is no longer available on Steam, we can’t help it but include it on this list since the franchise has gathered a cult following. The latest installment of the Metro franchise, Metro Exodus is scheduled to be released on February 15th, 2019 and this time, the game will take players to the post-apocalyptic Russia where they will once again be shooting monsters, navigating the darkest tunnels and use everything at their disposal in order to survive.

7. Spelunky 2

Spelunky 2 is an upcoming sequel to the popular indie platforming game Spelunky which was released in 2013. Spelunky won the Game of the Year award when it came out and the gameplay focused on the player exploring the underground tunnels and caves, defeating monsters, avoiding various traps and collecting all sorts of treasure. The sequel will be expanding on this concept however, the player will be assuming the role of the daughter of the protagonist from the first game. Spelunky 2 is scheduled to be released sometime during 2019 although the exact date is currently unknown.

8. Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown

Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown is the first Ace Combat game that will be making its way onto PC and many fans are excited about this. As its name suggests, Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown is an arcade aerial combat simulator which is easy to learn but difficult to master. The players will once again have the opportunity to fly into the skies, shoot down enemies and watch them spin out of control towards the ground in a ball of fire. The game is scheduled to be released on the 1st of February 2019.

9. Far Cry New Dawn

Far Cry New Dawn is the latest upcoming installment of the popular first-person shooter franchise Far Cry and it simply had to be included on this list. What is interesting about this game is the fact that it will be taking place at the same location where the previous Far Cry game was but now in a post-nuclear setting which will make exploring and revisiting old and already familiar areas exciting. The game will also have many new features like base building, weapon building and even a system where the players choice will highly affect the outcome of various events. Far Cry New Dawn is scheduled to be released on the 15th of February 2019.

10. Jump Force

Jump Force is a fighting action game which many players have been asking for and it will have characters from various manga and anime such as Dragon Ball, One Piece and Naruto fighting against each other using their signature moves and abilities. The game is being published by BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment and is scheduled to be released on February 15.
